There is a book on bento boxes coming out on 14 Mar 09. Here is a link to Amazon. I wonder how different it would be from those bento books printed in Japanese.

Then there is this article on NYTimes about how food magazines are targeting the cost conscious market these days by giving advice on how to cook on a budget. Sadly, what is lacking in this part of the world is the lack of interest in cooking for most families here. Guess it is still hard to beat a S$2 chicken rice from ANY stall at anytime.
