The Dish That Became Something Else


I had every intention on making Cold Poached Chicken with Ginger Scallion Oil from Gourmet Cookbook. But life got in the way, and my poached chicken became boiled chicken. Tough and rubber as it comes. *sigh*

I was about to dump the poaching liquid into the sink but it smelled good and tasted good. Now the next question was what to do with it.

I added some rice and boil to make chicken porridge. Add some shredded chicken and serve hot! Wonderful tummy warmer on a rainy day.
